Pain Relieve as Close as Our Fingertips

Our therapists, Doug Korcek and Beverly Dowling, have added a new therapeutic "Pain Reflex Release Technique" or PRRT approach to treating problematic areas of pain.

The treatment is based on two primal reflexes in humans: startle reflex and withdrawal reflex. Typically, if the therapist touches a problematic area, the patient jumps and pulls away, demonstrating perfectly both the startle and withdrawal reflexes. Like touching a hot stove and pulling your hand away. Using those components the therapist works on those reflexes with the basic concept that when a reflex is activated, one muscle contracts and the opposing muscle relaxes. By tapping the right muscles that were tense and painful, they relax and the pain can be greatly diminished with just a few visits. This treatment has shown to be very helpful with patients with chronic pain, headaches and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

While this treatment may not work for all types of pain, it can help about 75-80% of pain-riddled patients. Pain is cumbersome and depressing. You deserve to be pain free! Call us today at 468-5528.
