Our Therapists
Doug Korcek, P.T., is a graduate from Loma Linda University School of Physical Therapy. As Owner and Director, he has over 25 years experience in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Extensive post-graduate training has helped Doug develop treatment programs where he remains current in providing excellent care for painful muscular-skeletal disorders.
Michele McCoy is a graduate of Loma Linda University. She has practiced 30 plus years in the Medford and Portland areas before relocating to Siskiyou County 3 years ago.
Over the past 15 years her focus has been treating chronic pain patients, primarily pelvic, sacral and spinal issues, fibromyalgia and other chronic pain disorders using manual therapy techniques called myofascial release, muscle energy and visceral manipulation.
VISCERAL MANIPULATION: using manual techniques directed towards releasing scar tissue adhesions in and around organs that can often cause or contribute to chronic pain syndromes. Often these adhesions are present for many years but do not become a problem until injury occurs.
Michele has had success in applying these same techniques to women recovering from breast surgery.
Beverly Dowling is a life-long Siskiyou County resident (graduated from CSU Fresno with a Physical Therapy degree in 1978). Bev has 31 years experience treating neck, back, traumatic injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, head injuries, de-conditioning and other musculoskeletal problems. Bev has additional training in the use of hands on manual therapy techniques for the treatment of chronic acute pain and trigger points.
Bev would like to invite all her friends to come see us at Scott Valley Physical Therapy. Call for an appointment (530) 468-5528.
